Hi everyone, have a listen.
This piece was performed for Edward, Edwin and I in a small room in the department of sociology at UVic. We all sat around politely, me not knowing that much about slam poetry and wondering how this was all going to go. Then he started. There was only silence while he spoke. When Dimitri finished we all knew we had witnessed something special. Such great poetry, such great sociology.
