The Canadian Institute for Health Information has released a report showing that inequalities still exist in the Canadian healthcare system.
Inquality, in the report, refers to differences between richer and poorer Canadians among a set of 16 indicators. These indicators include
factors influencing health — such as access to housing and food,
and smoking and obesity — along with rates of injury, chronic disease and measures of well-being
The evidence in this report indicates that inequalities are persistent in Canada. A copy of the summary report can be found here.
