Samantha Newton’s story and journey is a fascinating one. In this newspaper piece Newton is quoted as saying, “I was always told you’re smart, you’ll be successful, you’ll make a lot of money … But the truth is, I was so unhappy down to the point that I was slowly killing myself.” I also liked it when she was more than ok with not finishing her Ph.D. in sociology.
