Maclean’s magazine published a brief article outlining some university courses that get students out of the classroom and into the communities they live in (often called Community Engaged Learning, Service Learning, etc.). The stories they highlight show how invaluable these experience can be for the students and the organizations they work with. Let’s hope our own Soci 438 can be as successful as these courses were.
